this book absolutely ruined me. I love how the author portrayed both Augustus and Hazel, i love how different they were but how similar they were at the same time. It wrecked me when Gus died, i wish he didn't but it was inevitable. I will forever love this book and reread it countless times again and again

So beautifully written. I stopped reading when I realized Augustus was dying, but I came back to it. I'm glad I did.

I am destroyed. I haven't read anything this deep in months, anything with this amount of love and pain and oblivion. You will cry harder than you have ever cried during a book. John Green takes romance and pain and hope and twists it into a ethereal vine of something we can't touch as readers, but merely look at it from afar. Read it, I dare you to. You will forever fall in love with an unsmoking boy who smiles too crookedly and with a broken girl with dreams she's afraid of dreaming. "Oh, but that's the irony. Broken people are not fragile." - Clinton Sammy Jr.

This book is amazing!! It made me cry.

This book is emotional blackmail. It basically romanticizes cancer. “My thoughts are stars I cannot fathom into constellations.”...Why compare your thoughts to stars and constellations? It makes no sense. "That's the thing about pain. It demands to be felt."...Yeah, that’s the thing about chocolate, it demands to be eaten. "He died eight days after his prefuneral" WHAT THE HELL?? The author tried to make his death sound LIKE HE WENT TO A PARTY LAST WEEK!!!
